                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Taxiway A, Runway 18/36 (2 tie-ins) and Runway 4L/22R, and adjusting the existing taxiway lights to grade. 

Optional additional work items include construction of new base mounted LED taxiway lights along Taxiway D, and construction

of facilities (cans, conduit and pull wire) for future taxiway centerline lights to provide for future SMGS route along Taxiway D from

Taxiway A across Runway 18/36 to Runway 4L/22R.  This will require saw cutting, removing and repairing existing pavement on

Taxiway A across Runway18/36 and on Runway 4L/22R.

About this Project : This project is to enhance night visibility and visibility during inclement weather. Currently, there are only edge lights on the east side of Taxiway A. This project will install edge and centerline lighting on Taxiway A, centerline lighting on Taxiway B from the General Aviation apron to C/B intersection, and centerline lighting from P/C intersection to Runway 22R. These lights will also be used during SMGS conditions. The lighting control panel in the ATC Tower will be modified.

About this Project : This project is proposed to extend Runway 18-36, 1,100 feet to the north. This will provide 6,224 feet of runway surface for aircraft arrivals and departures. The extension is needed to facilitate the separation of general aviation and commercial service aircraft. The environmental assessment for 18-36 was completed in July 2003 with an issuance of the Finding of No Significant Impact.

About this Project :This stage of the project involves construction of the 1,100 foot runway extension, stubouts for the future supporting taxiway system, completion of runway safety area grading, and the completion of perimeter road construction. About this project: Remove deep deposits of unsuitable (soft, yielding) material that has been found under a section of Taxiway R. Preliminary geotechnical investigations indicate that the unsuitable material extends longitudinally for an estimated 400 LF. The 22” Portland Concrete Cement pavement will be removed in this area; the unsuitable material will be excavated and disposed; suitable material will be back-filled and the pavement replaced. Ancillary work includes replacement of the pipe under-drain system along both pavement edges, some of the taxiway edge lighting system, and restoration of the easterly portion of the taxiway safety area.
